Lecture links finance and development
Wever discussed how public finances, economic development and the primary sector can complement one another. The presentation connected priorities in the Government Programme 2025–2028 with planning, action and projects, according to the report.
Topics included responsible fiscal management, economic diversification, support for local businesses and food security, including development of agriculture. Wever also emphasised continuity, cooperation across sectors and long-term planning.
Education’s role in Aruba’s future
The minister said development depends on people’s knowledge and capabilities as well as plans and financial resources. He highlighted the role future teachers will play in preparing the next generation to contribute to Aruba.
Wever thanked IPA for the invitation and said knowledge exchange between government and educational institutions can help people better understand public decisions and responsibilities, the report says.
