ORANJESTAD – The Government of Aruba and Aruba Ports Authority (APA) have joined forces to support Dia pa Cuida Aruba, the national island-wide clean-up campaign taking place on Saturday, July 25, 2026.
During a press conference at Harbour Arena, Prime Minister Mike Eman, Minister of Tourism, Transport and Labor Wendrick Cicilia, and APA CEO Marc Figaroa announced APA’s participation in the initiative.
As part of its contribution, APA will place eight large waste containers at Harbour Arena, one of 26 collection sites across Aruba, allowing residents to dispose of unwanted waste during the clean-up campaign.
Prime Minister Eman said the initiative reflects cooperation between the government, public companies, private businesses, community organizations and volunteers, with the goal of encouraging long-term environmental responsibility.
Minister Cicilia highlighted that maintaining a clean island benefits both residents and Aruba’s tourism industry, while Figaroa reaffirmed APA’s commitment by providing logistical support for the campaign.
The Government of Aruba and APA are encouraging residents, businesses, foundations and volunteer groups to participate in the national clean-up effort to help keep Aruba clean and welcoming.
