ORANJESTAD – A driver was injured Saturday morning after a Nissan Versa crashed head-on into a parked Ford Ranger in the Piedra Plat area.
Police and ambulance crews responded to the scene following reports of a traffic collision with injuries. According to preliminary information, the Nissan Versa veered onto the left side of the road for reasons that remain under investigation before colliding head-on with the parked pickup truck.
The impact caused significant damage to the Nissan, with the dashboard reportedly being forced inward and striking the driver. Paramedics treated the injured driver at the scene before transporting the individual to the hospital for further medical evaluation.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
