ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba’s Minister of Health, Social Affairs, Elderly Care and Addiction Management, Melvin Wyatt-Ras, congratulated graduates of EPI Sector Health and Services, emphasizing the vital role they will play in caring for and supporting people throughout different stages of life.
The minister participated in both the official oath-taking ceremony and the graduation ceremony, highlighting that careers in healthcare require not only knowledge and practical skills but also integrity, compassion and responsibility.
During the oath-taking ceremony, future nurses, social care workers and pharmacy assistants pledged to uphold professional standards. Wyatt-Ras reminded them that the oath represents a lifelong commitment to serving others with respect and integrity.
At the graduation ceremony, 72 students successfully completed their studies, representing an 84% graduation rate for EPI’s Health and Services sector.
The minister encouraged graduates to continue learning throughout their careers and reminded them that caring for their own wellbeing is essential to providing quality care for others. She also thanked EPI’s staff, teachers and families for supporting the students’ success.
