ORANJESTAD (AAN) – FCCA Launches DigiBID to Modernize Aruba Bidding Process, introducing a secure digital platform designed to simplify, modernize, and strengthen the way contractors and businesses submit bids for housing and construction projects.

The new DigiBID platform enables contractors and service providers to submit proposals electronically through a fully encrypted system that enhances efficiency, transparency, and accessibility throughout the bidding process.

Secure and Transparent Digital Bidding

According to FCCA Director Julie Wever, DigiBID represents a significant step forward in the organization’s digital transformation.

The platform uses advanced encryption technology to ensure that every submitted bid remains completely sealed until the official bid opening date. Neither FCCA staff nor participating contractors can access competing proposals before the scheduled opening, helping maintain fairness and transparency.

Julie Wever said the launch reflects FCCA’s commitment to innovation while strengthening confidence in its procurement procedures.

Major Housing Projects Coming Soon

FCCA also announced several upcoming housing developments that will use the DigiBID platform.

Among the projects planned are the construction of 75 new homes in Kiviti and the renovation of 21 apartments on Wilhelmina Street.

Wever emphasized that all qualified contractors are encouraged to participate.

“We want every contractor to have the opportunity to compete. Inclusion is extremely important to FCCA.”

Open to Businesses of All Sizes

The DigiBID system is available to small, medium, and large companies, including specialized contractors such as electricians, plumbers, and other construction professionals.

After registering, businesses will automatically receive email notifications whenever a project matching their specialization becomes available. Contractors can then submit proposals directly through the secure online portal.

Supporting a Modern Procurement Process

The FCCA Launches DigiBID to Modernize Aruba Bidding Process initiative is expected to reduce paperwork, speed up procurement procedures, improve communication with contractors, and provide a more transparent bidding environment.

By adopting a fully digital procurement platform, FCCA aims to make future housing and renovation projects more efficient while ensuring equal opportunities for businesses participating in public tenders across Aruba.
