ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) has officially opened the new AUA Food Truck Plaza, located just outside the arrivals area of Reina Beatrix International Airport. The inauguration ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting by food vendors and Jonny Andersen, CEO of AAA, marking the launch of this new community space.
The event was attended by airport staff, local media, and influencers who explored the plaza and sampled the available food and beverages, including local snacks, coffee, and smoothies. The plaza is designed for all airport visitors—families, passengers, staff, and local residents—offering a convenient and relaxing space to enjoy a meal or drink.
Currently, the plaza hosts four local food concepts:
- El Tio EXPRESS – open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- SANTOS x Keda Keto – open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Mauchi Smoothies Juice Bar – open daily from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Dushi Flavors – open Monday–Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Barbara Brown, Chief Revenue Development & Communications Officer of AAA, said, “The Food Truck Plaza provides a new, comfortable space for visitors to relax and enjoy local flavors while waiting for arrivals or departures. It also gives local food entrepreneurs high visibility to connect with both locals and travelers.”
The plaza is now officially open and welcomes airport visitors and the community to enjoy a taste of Aruba.
