ORANJESTAD (AAN): Military units from Aruba have successfully completed the “Caribbean Urban Warrior” training exercise in North Carolina, United States. The training involved members of Marine Squadron Carib Aruba, along with sailors from the Marine Detachment St. Maarten and the Boto platoon from Aruba and Curaçao.

The joint exercise was conducted in collaboration with the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion of the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune. The training focused on urban operations and amphibious missions, preparing participants for modern combat environments.

The Caribbean Urban Warrior Aruba training emphasized small, specialized teams operating under a new force design approach—fast, flexible, and mission-focused. Participants also trained extensively with advanced technologies, including drone operations. First-person view (FPV) drones were used in realistic scenarios targeting both individuals and groups, enhancing tactical capabilities.
