In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Aruba Bank hosted a groundbreaking Innovation Conference, bringing together some of the brightest minds from NASA, Google, and the global AI community alongside Aruba’s own changemakers. The one-day event highlighted the bank’s century-long journey of trust and progress — and its bold commitment to shaping a digital, sustainable future for Aruba.

Participants had the unique opportunity to:

  • Hear from leading innovators from NASA, Google, and AI-driven industries
  • Engage in open conversations about technology, sustainability, and youth empowerment
  • Network with industry experts and local leaders
  • Take part in exclusive panels and live Q&A sessions
  • Join a Free Youth Coding Workshop for ages 15–17, organized by Fullstack Vision Aruba

The conference began with opening remarks from Nataly Simmons-Thompson, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, and Rob de Ridder, Managing Director and Chairman of the Management Board at Aruba Bank N.V.

  • Haime Croeze – Data Architect at ABN AMRO and Co-founder of Digital Natives of Aruba: “Small Island, Big Intelligence: 100 Years of AI and the Rise of a Digital Aruba.”
  • Dr. Edward Cheung – Principal Engineer at NASA: “Build, Launch, Fly! The Trajectory of an Aruban Engineer at NASA.”

Interactive panels explored The Future of Technology in Aruba and Empowering the Next Generation, featuring local leaders including Crescenzia Biemans, Geoffrey Wever, Sue-Ann Lee, and Bruce Harms.

The event concluded with a networking lunch, connecting innovators, policymakers, and young coders for meaningful discussions about Aruba’s technological evolution.

“This conference is more than a celebration — it’s a commitment to inspire innovation, empower the next generation, and prepare Aruba for a digitally connected future,” said Aruba Bank representatives.
