Diego de Cuba, president of the SPA Union, claims there is a structured conspiracy and persecution within Aruba Airport’s management, particularly in the security department.
The union recently met with CEO Jonny Andersen to discuss 30 points submitted by employees. De Cuba described a culture of favoritism, mishandling of sexual harassment cases, and appointments of inexperienced personnel to key positions. SPA warns that without internal reform, these problems will continue to repeat.
The union emphasizes that during the pandemic, many employees were removed or sidelined, exploiting the situation. De Cuba insists these alleged conspiracies are orchestrated to eliminate certain employees and called for a meeting with the CEO and STA board to address the concerns.
