In Aruba, teens vaping is becoming a growing concern as some teenagers are learning to use vaping devices through social media.
Mrs. Dalguis Montalvo, director of Stichting HUNTO, explained that teens coming to the foundation had either started vaping or were trying it for the first time. “Many Aruba teens vaping are unaware of the harmful substances they inhale, including chemicals and synthetic compounds,” Montalvo said.
She emphasized that some devices are obtained through clandestine sources and can contain marijuana or other dangerous substances. Stichting HUNTO urges parents and teens to be aware of these risks and discourages vaping.
