SANTA MARTA – Emergency services responded Thursday morning to a workplace accident at a company in Santa Marta after heavy equipment reportedly fell onto the knee of an employee.
An ambulance was immediately dispatched to the scene after authorities received reports of the incident.
Upon arrival, medical personnel discovered that a large and heavy piece of equipment had fallen on the worker during operations at the location. After lifting the object, responders confirmed that the victim had suffered a broken knee.
The injured worker received urgent medical attention at the scene before being transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
