ORANJESTAD: Authorities are investigating a severe accident that occurred Friday night around 10:00 p.m. on Henny Eman Boulevard, which resulted in injuries to four individuals. Police received numerous calls regarding the incident.
In separate enforcement actions, law enforcement successfully intercepted a drug drop along the southeast coast of Aruba, resulting in the detention of seven persons. Officers confiscated two firearms manufactured using a 3D printer. A man was taken into custody after being found in possession of a white weapon, multiple license plates, and narcotics.
Police have also addressed cases involving violent behavior and suspicious deaths. A woman and a teenager were detained following an aggression case, while the death of a 72-year-old woman was determined to be unnatural. Additionally, police have detained the son of a woman discovered deceased in Calbas. A suspect named Li-Angelo Carmona surrendered to authorities a few hours after a search operation began.
The police force continues to prioritize assistance for individuals with mental health problems. The Sindicato di Polis Aruba (SPA) has set a June 15 deadline for the High Commissioner to respond to four letters sent by the union. SPA President Lito Laclé reported on the matter.
