On Saturday afternoon, a large crowd gathered at the chapel of Aurora Funeral Home to bid farewell to Darlise Jeanine Burleson-Werleman, better known as Gina.
Gina was a well-known and long-time photographer for DIARIO, recognized for her active involvement in Aruba’s social, carnival, and sports communities. Her unexpected passing deeply affected family, friends, colleagues, and the wider community.
The family expressed heartfelt appreciation for the many messages of sympathy and support shown during the service. Among those present were former Prime Minister Mike Eman, as well as several members of Parliament, who attended to express their condolences to Gina’s family and loved ones.
The service was led by Pastor Jairo Maduro, who had known Gina personally through regular contact. Following the ceremony, Gina was laid to rest at the Catholic Cemetery of Santa Cruz (Santana).
Gina Burleson-Werleman was 59 years old. May she rest in eternal peace.
