More than 400 children have registered for the 2026 IBiSA Kids Run and Olympic Day Celebration scheduled for June 20 at the Stadion Guillermo Prospero Trinidad. Organized by IBiSA in partnership with the Comite Olimpico Arubano (COA) and Aruba Bank, the event welcomes students aged 4 to 18. In addition to the races, the celebration will feature sports demonstrations and opportunities for attendees to meet Aruban Olympic athletes.
Rodymar Geerman, a representative for IBiSA, noted that approximately 450 students have signed up through school links, with general registration remaining open free of charge. He stated that the event serves as a comprehensive celebration involving all COA member federations. Following the activities at the stadium, an award ceremony will be held at the Entertainment Center.
Michelle Jacobs-Harms, Marketing Officer at Aruba Bank, expressed the institution’s satisfaction in supporting the event for over a decade. She emphasized the bank’s belief in investing in the future by promoting active and healthy lifestyles for children. Jacobs-Harms wished the participants success and thanked IBiSA and the COA for their dedication.
