ELMAR has donated computers to EPB San Nicolas as part of an ongoing partnership intended to support vocational students and connect education with the professional world.
Donation follows Engineers Week participation
EPB San Nicolas took part in ELMAR’s Engineers Week earlier in the year. Students were introduced to the energy sector and to different professions within the industry.
The new computers are intended to strengthen resources and facilities available to students as they develop technical and professional skills.
Visit highlights electronics and ICT training
ELMAR representatives also toured the school’s facilities, including its Electrotechnics and Information and Communications Technology units.
The utility said the visit provided a closer look at the learning environment and the areas in which students are preparing for future careers. ELMAR described the collaboration as a way to bring education, energy, technology and employment opportunities closer together.
