From April 7 to 10, Aruba’s MICE tourism delegation engaged in a dynamic business agenda in Santiago, Chile, aiming to further establish the island as a leading destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE).
The Aruba delegation, led by Jeysha Rasmijn, Director of the Aruba Convention Bureau, included Iván Calderón, Sales & Marketing Manager for Hedy, María José Lizama, Sales & Marketing Executive for the Aruba Tourism Authority in Chile and Peru, and Claudia Cárcenas, Account Executive.
Key Meetings with Industry Leaders
During their time in Chile, the Aruba team held important strategic meetings and training sessions with top MICE operators, including:

- BCD Travel
- Be Experience
- Grenlantours
Representatives from major hotel chains and tour operators also joined the discussions, such as Hilton, Marriott, Barceló, Holiday Inn, Joia Aruba by Iberostar, Palm Tours, and First Class.
Showcasing Aruba’s Incentive Travel Potential
The mission included targeted business meetings with agencies like Travel Club and Turavion, where Aruba’s services and value proposition were presented directly to key decision-makers. The meetings highlighted Aruba’s appeal as a prime destination for group travel and high-value incentive programs, positioning the island as an attractive option for MICE events.
