ORANJESTAD (AAN): Prime Minister Mike Eman recently met with representatives of the Fonds Bijzondere Journalistieke Projecten (FBJP) to discuss opportunities for strengthening journalism in Aruba.
The Aruba Journalism Development Meeting included FBJP representatives Wensley Francisco and Joëlle Terburg, who are visiting Dutch Caribbean islands to connect with local journalists and content creators.
During their visit, an informational session was also held at the National Library, providing insights into funding opportunities and support for creative and journalistic projects.
The Aruba Journalism Development Meeting marks the second engagement between both parties, highlighting ongoing dialogue and collaboration.
FBJP expressed interest in contributing to the growth and development of local journalism, while Prime Minister Eman emphasized the importance of independent media in a democratic society.
The meeting focused on exchanging ideas and exploring potential partnerships to strengthen the communication sector.
