HOFA union concerns remain high as Sindicatonan Uni seeks direct talks with the Aruba government before negotiations with the Netherlands advance further.
Union leader Hose Figaroa told DIARIO that the unions have sent several letters, including correspondence to the Prime Minister, requesting a meeting devoted to the proposed financial-supervision framework.

Figaroa said labor representatives want to understand what adjustments Aruba may propose and whether supervision could be regulated locally instead of through a Kingdom law. The unions are also asking whether financial benefits under discussion could be preserved without reducing the authority of Aruba’s Parliament.
A second DIARIO report said the unions plan to approach Parliament if they do not receive a government audience. The reports did not include a government response, so the HOFA union concerns and legal arguments remain the position of the labor organizations.
