The Aruba girls football tryout will give young female players an opportunity to experience football, meet local clubs and participate in free training activities on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
The event will take place at Compleho Deportivo Frans Figaroa from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and is open to girls interested in discovering more about football.
No previous playing experience is required.
Participants will have an opportunity to join training sessions on the field, meet representatives from local football clubs and hear inspirational stories from women involved in the sport.
Organizers said the event is designed to help girls build confidence, discover their interest in football and learn more about opportunities available within the sport.
Girls aged 11 and older are welcome to participate, whether they are completely new to football or already play regularly.
For participants in the U11 and U13 categories, field sessions are scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
For girls aged 15 and older, booths representing different football clubs will be open between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Participants are asked to wear appropriate sports shoes, including running shoes or football boots.
Girls who register and attend will receive a complete uniform for the day, along with drinks, fruit and a sandwich.
Transportation will also be available from different districts across Aruba.
Organizers said free gifts and prizes will be distributed during the morning, making the event suitable for participants and their families.
Admission is free, but advance online registration is required to secure a place.
The Aruba girls football tryout aims to encourage more young women to step onto the field, develop confidence and explore the opportunities that football can offer.
