ORANJESTAD, Aruba — An Aruba-Colombia trade mission brought representatives of 19 Colombian companies to the island to explore practical opportunities for commerce and investment, according to NoticiaCla. ProColombia organized the visit to connect Colombian suppliers with Aruba’s market.
Delegation studies Aruba’s retail and logistics needs
The participating companies presented agricultural goods, processed or frozen fruit and vegetables, coffee, cacao, beverages and digital services. The delegation visited local supermarkets to examine products, prices, packaging and consumer preferences. A visit to ASTEC also covered transport, cold-chain requirements and logistics for fresh and frozen goods.
Showroom connects suppliers with local buyers
During Colombia Showroom Aruba, the companies presented directly to importers, distributors, supermarkets, hotels and restaurants. The visitors also received feedback about market requirements and possible product adaptations. Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector Minister Geoffrey Wever said Colombia could help Aruba diversify imports and identify more competitive options. Aruba has maintained a Trade & Investment Office in Bogotá since 2023 to support commercial links between the two markets.
