The Aruba IPKO delegation Netherlands meeting participation has been officially announced by Parliament member Jennifer Arends-Reyes.
As President of the Kingdom Affairs and Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Aruba, Arends-Reyes confirmed that an official Aruban delegation will attend the upcoming Interparlementair Koninkrijksoverleg (IPKO) in the Netherlands in early June.
The Aruba IPKO delegation Netherlands meeting will bring together parliamentary representatives from Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and the Netherlands to discuss important Kingdom-related matters and strengthen cooperation between the countries.
Topics expected to be discussed include sustainability, the economy, education, security, and international relations. The delegation will also focus on issues such as equality within the Kingdom, financial cooperation, and institutional reforms affecting Aruba.
Arends-Reyes emphasized that Aruba’s participation is important to ensure the island’s voice and interests are represented. She stated that Aruba must continue to advocate for mutual respect, equality, and realistic cooperation within the Kingdom.
The delegation will include members from different parliamentary factions and will also participate in meetings related to Aruban students in the Netherlands and diplomatic relations with the European Union.
According to Arends-Reyes, participation in IPKO is an important step toward strengthening Aruba’s role within the Kingdom and promoting a stable and sustainable future for the island.
