The Aruba airport has received two new Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting vehicles for the fire service at Queen Beatrix International Airport.
Justice Minister Arthur Dowers and the commander of Aruba’s fire service formally presented the vehicles, according to Diario.
Two Rosenbauer Panther 6×6 vehicles arrive
The new airport rescue vehicles are Rosenbauer Panther 6×6 models designed for aviation emergencies. They are part of a three-vehicle purchase with a total investment of 8,488,483 Aruban florins.
Two vehicles are now in Aruba. The third is expected to arrive before the end of 2026.
Equipment expands airport emergency capacity
Each vehicle can carry 11,400 litres of water, 1,600 litres of firefighting foam and 250 kilograms of dry chemical powder.
Dowers said the investment strengthens the operational readiness of the airport fire service and improves protection for passengers, flight crews, airport personnel and firefighters.
