The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) successfully concluded its annual training week during the first week of June. The event brought together tourism professionals, frontliners, and key industry actors to participate in educational opportunities focused on professional development and elevating service standards across the sector.
A key component of the program was the Tour Guide Certification Program presented by Aquila Center for Cruise Excellence. More than 50 tour guides from various companies completed the intensive training and received internationally recognized certifications. Additionally, the Service Excellence Amplified program saw over 120 participants complete their training. This initiative, established more than a decade ago, evolved in 2026 to focus on creating memorable experiences for visitors.
The training week included two educational excursions: an experience aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise and a visit focused on the cultural and historical heritage of Oranjestad. A.T.A. CEO Ronella Croes congratulated the participants, noting the record participation as an indication of the industry’s commitment to investing in exceptional service and visitor experiences.
A.T.A. affirmed its continued investment in education, innovation, and professional development to strengthen Aruba’s position as a world-class destination. The authority expressed gratitude to the wide range of partners and participants who contributed to the success of the 2026 Training Week.
