GOL Launches Direct Flight Linking Brazil and Aruba, Boosting Caribbean Tourism

GOL Airlines has officially inaugurated a direct flight route connecting São Paulo, Brazil, and Aruba, bringing the Caribbean island closer than ever to Brazilian travelers. The inaugural flight took place on December 18, 2024, at Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), marking a milestone in regional connectivity and tourism collaboration.

The event featured notable guests, including Bruno Balan, Executive Manager of Network Planning at GOL, and Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), along with CMO Sanju Luidens and Latin America Director Jordan Schlipken. The ribbon-cutting ceremony highlighted the shared commitment to strengthening tourism and business ties between Brazil and Aruba.

This new route—flight G3 7715—provides Brazilian tourists with direct access to Aruba’s world-famous white-sand beaches, luxury resorts, and cultural experiences. The return flight landed in São Paulo on December 19, officially launching this convenient connection for South American travelers.

Aruba’s leaders, including Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes and Minister of Tourism Danguillaume Oduber, celebrated the occasion at Reina Beatrix Airport (AUA), emphasizing the economic and cultural benefits of this partnership. The direct flight is expected to significantly increase tourism from Brazil and reinforce Aruba’s status as a premier destination in the Caribbean.

By eliminating the need for layovers, this air link offers Brazilian travelers a seamless journey to paradise and opens doors for Aruba to expand its presence in the South American market. The collaboration between GOL and the Aruba Tourism Authority sets the stage for lasting growth, cultural exchange, and stronger bilateral tourism.
