Noord traffic checks on Saturday night, October 31, resulted in 95 fines and two arrests, according to a police account published by NoticiaCla. Officers checked more than 245 vehicles at several strategic locations in the district.
Documents and driving rules checked
The reported violations included driving-licence, inspection-card, insurance and vehicle-tax issues, as well as mobile-phone use. Police said the two arrests concerned marijuana possession. A moped was also seized because its documents were not in order.
Several units took part
Uniformed officers, the motorcycle unit, K-9 and the Flex team participated, alongside cooperation from CEA, KMAR and DTP. The operation included the hotel area known as the hot zone. Police said checks would continue and reminded drivers to carry valid documents and follow traffic rules. The report does not announce convictions.
