New Dutch abortion data identify nine procedures carried out in the Netherlands during 2025 for women living in Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten combined, according to figures from the Dutch Health and Youth Care Inspectorate reported by NoticiaCla.
No separate count for Aruba
The report does not say how many of the nine women lived in each country. It is the first time the inspectorate has recorded residents of these three Caribbean countries as a separate group, rather than including them in a broader category of patients from other countries.
Figures do not measure all procedures
The count covers procedures performed in the Netherlands only. It excludes procedures on the islands or in other countries and therefore cannot be used as an abortion total for Aruba or the three countries combined. A separate figure of 176 procedures concerns Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba during 2025; it is not part of the nine Netherlands cases.
