Edylliene Maduro has earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Aruba’s Organization, Governance and Management program after successfully defending research on care quality for older adults.
Maduro completed the OGM degree on September 14
Maduro defended her thesis on September 14, 2026, through the Organization, Governance and Management program in the university’s Faculty of Arts and Science. The successful defense completed the requirements for her bachelor’s degree.
The achievement adds to the University of Aruba’s latest group of locally trained graduates in organization, governance and management.
Research examined staff views of elderly care
Edylliene Maduro’s thesis was titled Perceptions of Quality of Care Among Staff in Elderly Care Facilities: A Qualitative Case Study of SABA. Her research examined how SABA employees perceive the quality of care provided to older adults.
The study focused on the perspective of staff working within elderly-care facilities, using a qualitative case-study approach to explore their experience of care quality.
Three readers assessed the thesis
The graduation committee included thesis supervisor Dr. Mieke de Droog, second supervisor Jacques van der Scheer and SABA director Dr. Sulima Geerman as third reader.
