Rene Herde government responsibility is centered on understanding problems, building capable teams and delivering practical solutions that benefit Aruba’s citizens.
Minister Rene Herdé said taking responsibility for several ministerial portfolios brings significant challenges, but also creates an opportunity to make meaningful improvements.
According to Herdé, accepting that responsibility came with a clear commitment to understand the reality within each department, identify existing problems and assemble teams capable of working toward concrete solutions.
Since taking office, the minister said he has spent time examining the challenges within the departments under his responsibility and speaking directly with professionals who work in those areas every day.
He emphasized that effective decision-making begins with understanding where problems exist and how those difficulties affect citizens in practice.
Building Stronger Teams
Herdé said part of the process has involved forming teams that combine knowledge, experience and the ability to address government priorities.
He acknowledged that not every problem can be solved immediately.
For that reason, he believes transparency is essential when explaining what government can accomplish, what still requires additional work and what steps are needed before results can be achieved.
Responsibility Means Execution
The minister stressed that responsible government is not limited to announcing projects or presenting possible solutions.
According to Herdé, government must also implement those plans and openly communicate progress to the public.
“Responsibility means being willing to listen, understand the problems and work transparently on solutions that ultimately benefit the people,” Herdé said.
His ministry is continuing to work step by step to modernize public services, strengthen government departments and improve their ability to respond to residents.
The broader Rene Herde government responsibility approach emphasizes execution, transparency and practical improvements intended to make a measurable difference in the daily lives of Aruba’s citizens.
