ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Two people were injured Monday evening following a head-on collision on Sabana Liber after a driver swerved to avoid another vehicle that turned in front of him.
Police and ambulance personnel responded to reports of an accident with injuries at the scene. Upon arrival, officers determined that the incident occurred when a vehicle unexpectedly turned in front of a Nissan Note. In an attempt to avoid the vehicle, the Nissan driver swerved into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a Honda Fit traveling in the opposite direction.
As a result of the strong impact, both the driver and passenger of the Honda Fit sustained injuries.
The first ambulance treated the victims at the scene and transported the driver to the hospital, while the passenger received medical attention from a second ambulance that arrived shortly afterward.
Authorities responded to the incident and conducted the necessary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
