Kralendijk, Bonaire – Representatives from Aruba (IBiSA), Bonaire (INDEBON), and Curaçao (FDDK) met in Kralendijk from May 25–27, 2026, to evaluate the 2026 Inter-Island Games and plan for the 2027 edition.
The delegations reviewed the organization, sports programs, and areas for improvement to further strengthen this regional event. The evaluation confirmed that the games continue to meet their main objective: promoting friendship, mutual respect, integration, and healthy competition among young athletes. The event also serves as a platform for sports development and cultural exchange across participating islands.
Future expansions were discussed, including possible participation from Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, and Suriname. The official program for the 2027 Inter-Island Games was approved:
- Aruba (Feb 25–28, 2027): 3×3 Basketball, Cruyff Court Soccer, Beach Tennis
- Bonaire (Mar 11–14, 2027): Softball, Baseball5, Dodgeball, Water Polo
- Curaçao (Apr 8–11, 2027): Athletics, Cruyff Court, Volleyball
Delegates emphasized their commitment to ongoing collaboration to ensure a successful event with high organizational and sporting standards, benefiting all young participants and communities involved.
