The S.V. Bubali anniversary marks 83 years since the Noord football club was founded on September 23, 1943, beginning a long history of competition and community involvement.
Club built a football tradition in Noord
According to 24ora, the organization developed from an earlier neighborhood team and later joined Aruba’s football competition. Its supporters have come from Bubali and communities across Noord, while the club has operated youth, women’s and veteran divisions over the decades.
S.V. Bubali won Aruba’s championship in 1975 after defeating SCA Paradera 1-0 and then drawing the second final match. The club also recorded an undefeated A-Class title in the 1964-65 season and has continued developing players through multiple age groups.
Facilities and youth remain central
The club says its strength continues to be its work with young people. A foundation for the Bubali Sport Complex was established in 2019, new LED field lights followed in 2022, and a turf-field project involving FIFA, the Aruba Football Federation and the government is expected to be completed in December 2026. The organization is also preparing a perimeter project intended to help turn the grounds into a stadium.
