On Friday afternoon, police received a report of an accident at the intersection of Caya Ernesto Harms and Zoutmanstraat. A patrol was immediately directed to the scene, where it was confirmed that a vehicle from the Governor’s cabinet had fallen into a pond following a collision.
Investigating officers determined that a Nissan March failed to give preference at the crossing. The vehicle struck the cabinet car, causing it to hit the curbs and fall into the water. The accident required the presence of authorities to manage the aftermath.
Fortunately, no one sustained injuries in the incident. Despite the force of the crash and the vehicle ending up in the pond, all involved parties were reported safe.
