ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Government of Aruba, in collaboration with the Department of Culture Aruba (DCA), the Commission Ban Bek Caya, and various community organizations, has invited the public to the 21st edition of the Encuentro Multicultural Aruba 2026. This special event is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 29, at La Linda Plaza on Caya Grandi from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The gathering serves as a celebration for the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.
The program will feature a parade and entrance of flags, followed by an international culinary fair and a multicultural show presenting music, folkloric dance, and cultural expressions. Participating groups include the Grupo Multicultural Aruba, representing countries such as Colombia, Peru, Suriname, the Philippines, Spain, Haiti, and India, among others. Performances are scheduled by the Caribbean Combo of Scol di Musica Rufo Wever, Grupo Afro Tambor Venezuela, Vallenato Premium, Alma Llanera, Alma Gitana, and Gucci Dancers Aruba.
Special guest artists from Peru will also participate, further emphasizing the international character of the encounter. The Government of Aruba expressed deep appreciation for the cooperation between ministries, cultural institutions, foundations, and media outlets that made the event possible. Authorities stated that the initiative reflects Aruba’s vision as an inclusive and multicultural society.
