ORANJESTAD (AAN) – In the early hours of Saturday morning, police officers detained an intoxicated man in the district of Paradera after he repeatedly refused to comply with official directives. The incident began when local authorities received a report concerning an intoxicated individual at a bar in the area. Following this report, a patrol unit was immediately dispatched to the location to manage the situation.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers located the man, who stated that he had been assaulted by two bouncers at the establishment. In an effort to assist him, the police advised the individual to return to his home to rest and recover. They explicitly instructed him to visit the police station’s detective bureau later in the day to file a formal complaint regarding the incident once he was sober.
Despite the officers’ attempts to resolve the matter peacefully, the man refused to understand or follow the advice given to him. He continued to insist on addressing the issue on the spot rather than waiting. Because he failed to follow the instructions issued by the police, the officers were left with no alternative but to take him into custody.
