ORANJESTAD (AAN) – On Friday afternoon, a truck lost its brakes on the slope near Pos Chikito, passing the Balashi bridge. The driver was unable to maintain control while ascending the hill, causing the truck to roll backward. The vehicle collided with a light pole on the roadside and ended up stuck in the bushes.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident, and no other property was damaged. Initially, other vehicles were able to pass normally along the side of the road.
Police officers arrived at the location to manage the situation. Due to traffic congestion caused by vehicles on the slope, authorities temporarily closed part of the road to ensure safety and manage the flow of traffic.
