On Tuesday morning, local law enforcement officers were dispatched to support ambulance personnel following a report of obstruction during a medical emergency. The incident occurred when emergency responders arrived at a residence to attend to a patient who had reportedly fallen ill. However, the medical team encountered resistance that hindered their ability to perform their duties.
According to reports, the family members of the patient intervened, blocking the ambulance crew from accessing and transporting the individual safely. Due to the escalating nature of the interference, paramedics requested police assistance to manage the scene and ensure the safety of medical staff. The collaboration between the Cuerpo Policial Aruba and ambulance services is essential in situations where patient care is delayed by domestic disputes.
Upon the arrival of the police patrol, it was determined that the immediate disturbance had concluded. The ambulance personnel had successfully managed to secure the patient and had already departed for the hospital prior to the officers’ arrival. Authorities confirmed that the patient is receiving necessary medical care, and the police presence served to secure the area after the transport was completed.
