Youth Honored for Contributions During King’s Visit to Aruba
ORANJESTAD (AAN): A large group of young people and group leaders received certificates of recognition at the Bestuurskantoor (Cocolishi) for their participation in activities surrounding the Royal Visit of King Willem-Alexander to Aruba.

Prime Minister Mike Eman presided over the gratitude ceremony, which honored those who took part in a tree-planting activity held on March 18 as part of the national celebrations of Status Aparte Day and Himno y Bandera.
During the activity, youth from various groups actively contributed to the creation of a new urban park at the intersection of Adriaan Laclé Boulevard and Henny Eman Boulevard. The reforestation initiative has been considered a success, thanks to the enthusiasm, dedication, and positive energy displayed by the participants.
The event symbolized not only youth participation but also a broader commitment to nature, community, and the future of Aruba. The tree-planting effort is expected to contribute to the island’s sustainable development goals while beautifying a prominent area of Oranjestad.
