School Fee Increase Aruba: SKOA Announces New Rates

ORANJESTAD (AAN): At the end of the week, the Stichting Katholiek Onderwijs Aruba (SKOA) confirmed on their Facebook page that officially, school fees will see an increase for the new school year 2023/2024, for all kindergarten, primary, and MAVO schools.

School Fee Increase Aruba SKOA: New Rates Revealed

For kindergarten schools, the fee will become 250 florins (an increase of 75 florins compared to the current school year 2022/2023); for primary schools it will become 275 florins (an increase of 100 florins); and for MAVO schools it will become 350 florins (also an increase of 100 florins).

It is no secret that the cost of living has increased for everyone, and this means that sooner or later, the effects will shake educational institutions as well.

Parents React To School Fee Increase

This news caused a chain reaction in the community. On social media, dozens of people—parents with children in schools under SKOA—reacted to the news. Some with disgust and others with understanding, considering the economic situation many are going through.
