ORANJESTAD (AAN): Aruba continues to show impressive growth in tourism, with nearly 134,000 stayover tourists arriving in February 2026. This remarkable result reflects the success of the Aruba Tourism Authority’s (ATA) 2026 Corporate Plan, which focuses on attracting high-value visitors while ensuring sustainability and economic stability. The statistics reveal that the island has successfully attracted high-income tourists, a trend that has grown significantly.

According to the data, visitors from North America with an annual household income exceeding $150,000 increased by 6.2%, and those with an income over $250,000 grew by 6.1% compared to the previous year. This growth underscores the increasing preference for high-quality travel experiences and confirms Aruba’s positioning as a prime destination for sustainable tourism. These visitors are not only seeking beautiful landscapes but are also willing to spend more during their stay, contributing to the island’s economy.

In addition to attracting high-value tourists, Aruba scored an impressive 9.1 on the Guest Experience Index for February 2026, reflecting high satisfaction levels among visitors. This achievement highlights the importance of continuous investment in the island’s tourism product, services, and overall visitor experience. Aruba’s tourism authorities have emphasized the need to maintain these high standards to ensure long-term success.

In terms of market distribution, North America remains the dominant source of visitors, accounting for 77.9% of all arrivals. Latin America contributed 15.4%, while Europe represented 4.6% of the total number of visitors. The profile of these tourists shows that Aruba continues to attract a multi-generational audience, with Baby Boomers and Generation X making up the majority, although Millennials and Generation Z also represent a significant portion of visitors.

Aruba’s strong air connectivity is another key factor in its tourism success. The island benefits from a wide variety of airlines and routes, especially from the United States, Canada, Argentina, and the Netherlands. This extensive connectivity ensures that Aruba remains accessible to travelers from around the world, contributing to its sustained growth in international tourism.
