ORANJESTAD (AAN): The Cornelio Dirksz retirement at Santa Rosa was officially marked on Monday morning as the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries in Santa Rosa bid farewell to a dedicated colleague with 27 years of government service.
Cornelio “Esy” Dirksz began his career in 1999 as a contract worker and later became an official employee of the Government of Aruba. Throughout his career, he worked in the agriculture and horticulture section, where he became well known for his dedication, professionalism, and friendly attitude.
The Cornelio Dirksz retirement at Santa Rosa was made even more special as the celebration coincided with his birthday. Colleagues described him as a kind and calm individual, always welcoming clients with a smile and ready to assist anyone who visited the department.
A small but meaningful farewell ceremony was organized in his honor, featuring decorations, words of appreciation, and a commemorative gift engraved with his name and retirement date. Santa Rosa Director Nathalie Maduro addressed those present, briefly reflecting on the many positive experiences shared with “Esy” over the years.
