ORANJESTAD: Starting February 1, Aruba will officially have its first Misha Raymond National Youth Policy Coordinator Aruba, marking an important milestone in strengthening youth policy and long-term collaboration within the sector.

Minister Gerlien Croes announced on Friday that Raymicheline “Misha” Raymond has been officially appointed as Misha Raymond National Youth Policy Coordinator Aruba, effective February 1. The government stated that this appointment represents a significant step toward improving youth development, care, and safety across the island.

In her new role, Misha Raymond National Youth Policy Coordinator Aruba will work closely with organizations, institutions, and partners involved in youth care, development, and protection. The focus will be on strengthening collaboration, supporting sustainable youth initiatives, and connecting youth policy with practical implementation.

Raymond will also serve as a central point of contact for the youth sector and contribute to the continued development of Aruba’s youth policy framework for the future.

Misha Raymond is a registered healthcare psychologist with more than ten years of experience, specializing in child and youth mental health. She also brings administrative and political experience, having previously served as a Member of Parliament for the RAIZ party. According to the government, this combination of professional expertise and field experience makes her a valuable asset as Misha Raymond National Youth Policy Coordinator Aruba.

Minister Gerlien Croes expressed confidence in Raymond’s appointment and looks forward to constructive collaboration with all stakeholders in the youth sector.
