The O’STAD Incubator Aruba officially concluded on Saturday with an inspiring Demo Day, during which nine local startups showcased their businesses at the final stage of an intensive incubation journey. The announcement was made by Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector, Geoffrey Wever, who described the event as a major milestone for entrepreneurship and innovation in Aruba.
Over a three-month incubation period, participating startups completed an intensive program that provided capacity building, mentorship, and professional guidance from more than 25 experts from academia and the private sector. The program focused on key areas such as business model development, market validation, strategic positioning, and investor pitching.
Of the 11 startups that began the incubation process, nine successfully completed the program, with seven presenting their pitches before a panel of investors, business leaders, and local stakeholders. During Demo Day, the entrepreneurs shared their vision, progress, and market potential, clearly demonstrating the tangible growth achieved through the incubator.
Following the presentations, three winning startups were selected to continue into a post-incubation phase, aimed at strengthening their sustainability and increasing their chances of long-term commercial success.
The O’STAD Incubator is an initiative of Impact Hub Aruba, developed in collaboration with the University of Aruba and the Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by SETAR, Aruba Airport Authority, and the Aruba Tourism Authority.
Minister Wever attended the Award Ceremony and emphasized the importance of continued investment in entrepreneurship as a pillar of economic diversification, job creation, and a resilient innovation ecosystem. According to the minister, initiatives like the O’STAD Incubator demonstrate how public–private collaboration can turn innovative ideas into viable businesses that create real value for Aruba’s economy.
Founded in 2022, Impact Hub Aruba aims to sustainably support entrepreneurship and actively contribute to a more dynamic, innovative, and inclusive economy for Aruba.
