Each year on October 10, the world unites to mark World Mental Health Day—a time to reflect, talk, and give more attention to our mental well-being.
The 2025 theme focuses on mental health during humanitarian emergencies such as natural disasters, conflict, war, and pandemics. While Aruba faces fewer of these crises, the island confronts its own challenges: loneliness among seniors, anxiety among youth, and work-related stress. Mental health affects how we think, feel, and act—and everyone can work to improve it.
Aruba’s Instituto Biba Saludabel y Activo (IBiSA) highlights the role of physical activity in protecting and promoting good mental health. Exercise releases endorphins, helping reduce stress and lift mood. IBiSA encourages at least 30 minutes of light to moderate activity daily, ideally outdoors for an extra boost.
Move your body, care for your mind, and help build a healthier, happier Aruba.
