Aruban football official Vanessa Leer served as a match coordinator during a set of Concacaf Nations League Group B fixtures in Saint Lucia.
The Aruban Football Federation, or AVB, announced the assignment, which involved the national teams of Saint Lucia, Bermuda, Barbados and Guadeloupe. The role gave Leer responsibility within the organization of the international matches.
Four teams took part in the Saint Lucia fixtures
The first two matches were played on September 25. Bermuda faced Guadeloupe, while Barbados played host nation Saint Lucia.
The schedule continued on September 28 with Guadeloupe meeting Barbados and Saint Lucia facing Bermuda. Leer’s coordinator duties covered the four participating national teams across that match window.
Assignment builds international operations experience
Serving as a Concacaf match coordinator provides practical experience in the organization of international football. AVB said the assignment also allows Leer to deepen her knowledge of the sport’s regional operations.
Her participation placed an Aruban official in an operational role at the regional level. It also offered an opportunity to represent Aruba while developing further experience with international match administration.
