Police and ambulance crews responded early Friday morning to reports of an unconscious person outside Playa Linda in Aruba.
Officers found a tourist who had regained consciousness. The tourist claimed he had been chased and punched by a security guard, causing him to lose consciousness. The reason for the alleged assault was not immediately known.
The tourist declined medical treatment when paramedics arrived. Police provided him with transportation back to his hotel at Druif Beach and advised him that he could file an official complaint with the Detective Department if he wished.
Authorities have not confirmed the allegations, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
