VIEWS

Looking for a warm and sunny way to enjoy the holiday season? Aruba’s festive spirit shines bright—literally! From vibrant Christmas light displays to flavorful holiday feasts and charming markets, the One Happy Island brings all the magic you need to celebrate with a Caribbean twist.

✨ See Aruba Sparkle with Christmas Lights

Experience one of Aruba’s most cherished holiday traditions—Cas di Luz in Sero Preto. Celebrating its 40th year, this dazzling Christmas light display is the island’s brightest attraction. Don’t miss the Festival of Lights at Harbour Arena on December 12th and 15th either—it’s another magical experience.

Even Aruba’s traffic circles light up the season! The island’s roundabouts are decorated with twinkling lights and festive displays, creating a joyful vibe wherever you drive.

Tip: Want to know the best light spots? Use Aruba’s Christmas Lights Map for a self-guided tour of the island’s top glowing locations.

🍽️ Savor Holiday Flavors & Island Treats

Gather your loved ones and enjoy a holiday meal like no other—Aruba-style! Local restaurants dish out festive menus blending traditional Christmas fare with Caribbean flair, featuring fresh seafood and island-inspired flavors.

Must-try local holiday favorites include:

  • Ayacas – a savory Christmas staple

  • Ponche Crema – Aruba’s holiday eggnog

  • Oliebollen – Dutch-style sweet doughnuts

  • Quesillo, Poffertjes, and snacks like Bolita di Keshi, Webo Yena, and Kroket

Foodie tip: Stay tuned to Aruba’s event page for holiday dining specials updated daily!

🎄 Wander Aruba’s Festive Holiday Markets

Holiday markets on the island are full of cheer, from local crafts to tasty bites and twinkling lights. Discover live music, shopping, and even ice skating!

Don’t miss:

  • Merry Merry Marketplace at Renaissance Marketplace
📍 Daily from 6–10 PM until December 29

  • Holiday Artisan Market at Hilton Aruba
    📍 December 4, 11, and 18 | 7–9:30 PM

Bonus for kids: Drop your letters to Santa at Hilton Aruba’s special North Pole mailbox!

🎅 Catch a Photo with Santa (Yes, Even at the Beach!)

Santa’s making plenty of island stops this season! Head to Renaissance Marketplace on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting December 7–22, plus a special appearance on December 23. There will also be ice skating for kids and holiday entertainment.

Santa will also visit the Holiday Artisan Market at Hilton Aruba. And for a true island twist—head to Palm Beach on Christmas Day… rumor has it Santa might show up in flip-flops!

🛍️ Holiday Shopping, Aruba Style

Bring home something meaningful! Aruba offers plenty of opportunities to shop local and support island artisans this holiday season. Browse downtown Oranjestad’s Main Street, luxury finds at Renaissance Mall, or souvenirs at the flea markets near the marina.

Don’t forget the Palm Beach resort area—you’ll find boutique shops and gift options all along the high-rise strip.

🎆 Ring in the New Year by the Sea

If you’re lucky enough to be on the island for New Year’s Eve, head to the beach for the best view of Aruba’s stunning fireworks show. Countdown to 2025 under the stars with your feet in the sand and fireworks lighting up the sky.

Stay tuned—more New Year’s events and specials are coming soon!
