Thirteen Drivers Arrested for DUI in Aruba Traffic Checks : Sunday, May 24, 2026, during the early morning hours, Santa Cruz police conducted a traffic control operation targeting drivers under the influence of alcohol.
Police set up checkpoints at multiple strategic locations and stopped numerous vehicles for testing.
By the end of the operation, 13 drivers were detained for driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, 14 citations were issued for driving without a valid license, lacking a valid inspection card, and failure to pay motor vehicle taxes.
Police will continue conducting traffic controls and are appealing to all motorists to ensure their vehicle documents are in order and up to date.

- Put your phone away while driving
- Never drink and drive — designate a responsible friend
