Rayven Pimienta, a 12-year-old football talent from Aruba, has officially signed with Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam, marking a major milestone in his young athletic career. The agreement was finalized recently after the player and his family relocated to the Netherlands to pursue professional opportunities in European football.
Rayven’s football journey began at the age of four on the island, where he played for local club RCA. His development caught the eye of international scouts, leading him to travel to the Netherlands for a try-out in March. Following a positive reception from SC Feyenoord scouts, the Pimienta family decided to move abroad to fully support Rayven’s ambition to grow within the Dutch football system.
During his time in the Netherlands, Rayven competed as an amateur but quickly garnered interest from various professional organizations. He underwent training stages with multiple Betaald Voetbal Organisaties (BVOs), receiving offers from several teams, including NAC Breda. However, Rayven ultimately decided to join Sparta Rotterdam. He is now ready to don the red and white jersey as he continues his training to achieve his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
