Yoyo Power has concluded their inaugural participation in the Copa ABCS 2026 by securing the sub-championship title. As a debutant team, their progression to the final stages marked a significant achievement in the tournament, falling just short of the top spot. The squad expressed that while their primary objective was the championship, reaching the finals in their first attempt was a testament to their rigorous preparation.
Arcides Romero, Manager of Yoyo Power, described the team’s preparation as quite strong, driven by the initial goal of claiming the championship title. While they lamented missing the top prize, Romero highlighted the team’s pride in their performance. He stated that the squad is focused on the future and plans to continue competing in various championships. Their determination remains high as they look forward to a potential rematch against Swift in the future.
In a statement expressing gratitude, Romero thanked God and the Aruban community for the opportunity to compete on this stage and for the support received throughout the event. The team’s roster is primarily made up of players of Latino descent, including Venezuelans and Dominicans. However, Romero emphasized that the members feel fully integrated into Aruba. He praised the team’s collective effort and noted that their unity and focus on moving forward are key assets that will help them achieve their objectives in upcoming seasons.
