Aruban author invited to global forum
Aruban author and consultant Quito Nicolaas is scheduled to participate in UNESCO’s Global Forum against Racism and Discrimination in The Hague. According to 24ora, the international gathering will take place from October 28 through 30.
Nicolaas is expected to exchange ideas with participants from different countries and discuss the state of efforts to confront racism and discrimination.
Forum focuses on continuing challenges
The event supports international dialogue about measures, experiences and unresolved problems. Nicolaas plans to address the work still required in the Netherlands and across Europe, including in education and employment.
Economic pressures form part of his message
Quito Nicolaas argues that difficult economic conditions could prolong the effort needed to reduce racism and discrimination. His participation adds an Aruba perspective to the global discussion.
